FREE Colorado Concealed Handgun Class / Refresher - Range

Pikes Peak Gun Club This class is intended to provide the RANGE portion of training requirements under the new Colorado Concealed Handgun Training law. You will also need to complete the CLASSROOM portion to receive the certificate to apply for a NEW concealed handgun permit. This class will also provide all that is necessary for a REFRESHER/RENEWAL applicaiton.
This course is actual training and does meet the requirements to obtain a Concealed Handgun Permit (this is also our Refresher Course) in Colorado and many other states. This plus the 4 hour in classroom course will satisfy the new Colorado training requirements.
This class is free, but Pikes Peak Gun Club charges a student range fee. We cannot pay that, offer a free class, and still eat ourselves. Donations are how GFEN survives. Donations are greatly appreciated.
The class will include the mandated testing, review of required topics, and include the updated Concealed Handgun Training Certificate, valid for 1 year from the date of issue.
This course will also cover state mandated requirements including:
- Written Exam (open book)
- Shooting test (Instructor Discretion)
- State mandated training topics
At the end of the course students will be issued a NEW Colorado Compliant Concealed Handgun Training Certificate if you have completed the total 8 hours (classroom and range time), valid for 1 year, or if needed a REFRESHER training certificate valid for 6 months. If you have not attended the classroom portion yet, your certificate will be issued once you complete the classroom course.

Please bring the following gear to the course (LOANER EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE BUT YOU NEED TO CONTACT US DIRECTLY BEFORE THE CLASS TO ARRANGE):
- Modern Pistol (Semi Automatic Strongly Recommended) with 3 magazines
- Good quality belt, holster
- 100-200 rounds of ammunition
- Magazine carrier (optional, pockets are ok)
- Eye and ear protection.
- Comfort items such as snacks, drinks
- Sunscreen and bug spray if training outdoors
- Weather appropriate clothing
Students must arrive at the Pikes Peak Gun Club Range Office no later than 8:45. You will need to sign in at the Range Office and pay the REQUIRED $12 Range Fee, then we will proceed as a group to the assigned Range. Plan on about 4-5 hours for the class.
