     Pikes Peak Gun Club This class is intended to provide the remaining training requirements under the new Colorado Concealed Handgun Training law. This class if for students who have already attended a Guns For Everyone FREE Concealed Handgun Training class. If you have not attended one of these classes with GFE, please look for our Full Day Training courses. .

Yes! This does meet the requirements to obtain a Concealed Handgun Permit in Colorado and many other states.  This plus the 4 hour classroom class will satisfy the new training requirements that go fully into effect July 1st. If you apply before July 1st (in most counties), you will be fine with just this 4 hour class.

This class is free, but Pikes Peak Gun Club charges $12 per student. We cannot pay that, offer a free class, and still eat ourselves. Donations are how GFEN survives. Donations are greatly appreciated.

Adams, El Paso, JeffCo, Boulder counties are so backed up that you cannot get in before July 1st. Few rural counties are already requiring the new training. Visit your jurisdictions website to get info about how they’re handling this.

The class will include the mandated testing, review of required topics, and include the updated Concealed Handgun Training Certificate, valid for 1 year from the date of issue.

This course will also cover state mandated requirements including:

  • Written Exam (open book)
  • Shooting test (Instructor Discretion)
  • State mandated training topics 

At the end of the course students will be issued a NEW Colorado Compliant Concealed Handgun Training Certificate if you have completed the total 8 hours (classroom and range time), valid for 1 year.

Previously attended a Guns For Everyone FREE Concealed Carry Class

Please bring the following gear to the course (LOANER EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE BUT YOU NEED TO CONTACT US DIRECTLY TO ARRANGE):

  • Modern Pistol (Semi Automatic Strongly Recommended)
  • Good quality belt, holster and magazine carrier that can withstand heavy use
  • 100-200 rounds of ammunition
  • Eye and ear protection.
  • Comfort items such as snacks, drinks
  • Sunscreen and bug spray if training outdoors
  • Weather appropriate clothing

Students must arrive at the Pikes Peak Gun Club Range Office no later than 8:45 AM.  You will need to sign in at the Range Office and pay the REQUIRED $12 Range Fee, then we will proceed as a group to the assigned Range. Plan on about 4-5 hours for the class.  We will be shooting on Berm 7.
